WHERE YOU'LL BE AND WHAT YOU'LL DO

YNLHN offers an all-risk Midwifery Group Practice, enabling midwives to work autonomously within a continuity of care caseload model. Our MGP model is recognised for its high levels of professional satisfaction and strong clinical support, allowing you to work to the full scope of your midwifery practice while delivering truly woman-centred care.

About the Role

As an MGP Midwife, you will provide continuity of care across the entire maternity journey, including:

  • Antenatal care and clinics from 12–14 weeks
  • Intrapartum care
  • Postnatal care in hospital and at home
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary clinics
  • Lactation support
  • Childbirth and parenting education

This role supports autonomous practice while working within a collaborative, progressive, and supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Our MGP Services

Across five MGP sites, YNLHN supports approximately 600 women and families each year:

  • Larger sites: Port Pirie, Wallaroo, Clare
  • Smaller sites: Jamestown, Crystal Brook

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Recent midwifery practice across the full maternity continuum
  • Strong clinical knowledge within woman-centred continuity models
  • Well-developed communication, leadership, and clinical escalation skills
  • Experience in quality improvement and risk management
  • Digital capability to support safe, effective patient care
