The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Glazier to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential and commercial buildings in accordance with Australian standards and workplace safety regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

·Determining the type, dimensions and specifications of glass required for window and glass door installations and replacements.

·Measuring, marking and cutting glass panels to required sizes using specialised glazing tools and equipment.

·Installing glass panels into window frames and glass doors in residential and commercial buildings.

·Removing broken or damaged glass from windows and glass doors and replacing it with new glass panels.

·Fitting glass into frames and securing it using sealants, glazing compounds and appropriate fasteners.

·Sealing and finishing window and door glass installations to ensure proper insulation, safety and weather resistance.

·Inspecting glass materials before installation to ensure they meet required quality standards.

·Reading construction drawings and measurements to determine installation procedures and materials required.

·Assisting with the transport, handling and positioning of glass panels for window and door installations.

·Maintaining workplace safety and complying with relevant construction and WHS regulations on worksites.

·Throughout her employment, Undrakh has demonstrated reliable workmanship, strong technical glazing skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Experience Required

1. Certificate III in relevant trade qualification (preferred).
2. Demonstrated experience working as a Glazier or in a similar glazing role for at least 1 year.
3. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
4. Strong knowledge of glazing installation techniques and safety procedures.
5. Ability to operate glazing tools and equipment safely.
6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. White Card (Construction Induction Card) preferred.
9. Valid driver’s licence desirable.
