The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role suited to a trade professional who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You will be working across a diverse range of residential and commercial sites, handling everything from base preparation through to final grouting and finishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret project drawings and specifications, take accurate measurements, and plan tile layouts prior to commencing work
- Carry out thorough surface preparation including stripping existing tiles, removing old adhesive and grout, patching imperfections, and ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for installation
- Apply adhesive evenly to prepared surfaces and position tiles accurately and securely
- Use tile-cutting equipment to trim and shape tiles to fit edges, corners, and around fixtures, fittings, and pipework
- Maintain precise tile alignment and consistent spacing throughout the installation
- Complete all grouting work to a high standard, including clean-up and removal of excess grout
- Install waterproofing membranes and systems as required, particularly in wet areas
- Lay floors using granolithic, terrazzo, cement, or similar composition materials where required
- Arrange and set decorative tiles in planned patterns to produce mosaic finishes where specified
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work site at all times
- Liaise professionally with clients, site supervisors, and team members
- Deliver work on schedule without compromising on quality
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a professional tiler (residential and/or commercial)
- Proficiency in handling a wide range of tile materials and complex design layouts
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
