WALL AND FLOOR TILER

ICBM SERVICES PTY LTD is looking for an experienced WALL AND FLOOR TILER for our client's construction industry (residential homes, commercial buildings, and public spaces) across NSW, WA in Australia. On a full-time basis, you will be part of a multidisciplinary and well-supported team.

Title: WALL AND FLOOR TILER, Full- time position

Salary: A$ 85,000.00 to 95,000.00 plus super

Work Location: In person.

We are looking for applicants who demonstrate the following:

Requirements

1. Certificate 4 in wall and floor Tiling
2. Proven experience as a tiler for at least 2 years.
3. Knowledge of tiling techniques and materials.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
5. Physical stamina and strength.
6. Attention to detail and precision.
7. Good communication and teamwork skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

1. Surface Preparation: Cleaning, leveling, and priming surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of tiles.
2. Tile Selection and Layout: Choosing appropriate tiles based on design specifications and arranging them according to detailed plans or patterns.
3. Cutting Tiles: Using tile cutting tools to shape tiles to fit around obstacles such as pipes, corners, and edges.
4. Applying Adhesive: Mixing and spreading adhesives or mortar on surfaces evenly to secure tiles.
5. Installing Tiles: Carefully placing tiles in rows or patterns, ensuring they are aligned and spaced correctly.
6. Grouting: Filling gaps between tiles with grout to provide a finished look and prevent moisture penetration.
7. Sealing: Applying sealants to protect tiled surfaces from stains, water damage, and wear.
8. Quality Inspection: Checking finished work for accuracy, uniformity, and adherence to design specifications.
9. Repair and Maintenance: Replacing damaged tiles, re-grouting, and performing routine maintenance to keep tiled surfaces in good condition.
10. Health and Safety: Adhering to safety regulations and using protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
11. Customer Interaction: Communicating with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide recommendations.
