Our Client, Get A Grip Tyres Pty Ltd, is a proudly Australian-owned and family-operated business established in Perth in 2003. The company specialises in the procurement and contract manufacturing of commercial tyres for Australia’s Mining, Construction, and Transport industries.

As part of its growing operations, Get A Grip is currently seeking qualified Tyre Fitters/Tyre Technicians to join their team in several Western Australia locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with Australian safety standards, including the use of the Take 5 safety method prior to commencing work.
2. Work collaboratively within a team, ensuring clarity of expectations and contributing to a positive team environment.
3. Perform on-site tyre management for trucking fleets, including inspection, fitting, repair, and replacement of truck tyres.
4. Conduct tyre diagnostics including pressure checks, tread depth measurements, rotation, and overall condition assessments.
5. Collect and report data to support tyre performance evaluations.
6. Assist customers in selecting appropriate tyre products based on their requirements.
7. Ensure work areas and tools are kept clean, safe, and operational.
8. Represent the Get A Grip brand professionally, delivering a high level of customer service.
9. Travel safely between job sites in company-provided vehicles.
10. Engage professionally and courteously with clients at all times.
11. Stay up-to-date with product offerings and procedures, offering informed and consultative product recommendations.
12. Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and managing customer expectations throughout the workday.
13. Collaborate effectively with internal departments and clients.
14. Undertake various general tasks as required in a small business environment.
15. Maintain personal hygiene and present a professional image, including the upkeep of company vehicles.
16. Ensure all equipment and service vehicles are maintained in accordance with company policy.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar tyre fitting role, particularly involving truck, agricultural, OTR, or industrial tyres.
2. Hold a Certificate in Tyre Fitting.
3. Ability to perform tyre services and vehicle maintenance independently without supervision.
4. Possess a valid C Class manual driver’s licence is advantageous but not essential.
5. Holding a forklift licence and/or HR driver’s licence is advantageous but not essential.

You may be assigned to any of the following Get A Grip Tyres locations across Western Australia, depending on operational requirements: Fremantle (6163), Redcliffe (6104), Newman (6753), Port Hedland/South Hedland (6721/6722), or Karratha (6714).
