Our client Anyaa Transport operates in the freight, logistics and road transport sector, providing reliable transport solutions across metro, regional and interstate routes. The business operates a growing fleet and delivers a broad range of heavy transport services, including B-Double transport, tautliner semi, flatbed semi, rigid flatbed, rigid with tail lift and crane-equipped vehicle services.
Anyaa Transport is seeking a full-time Truck Driver (General) to join its operations team. This position is essential to the safe and efficient movement of freight across New South Wales and interstate destinations. The role directly supports the business by ensuring goods are collected, loaded, secured, transported and delivered in a timely and compliant manner, while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service and vehicle care.
Essential requirements
· AQF Certificate II or III in Driving Operations, Transport and Logistics, Road Transport, or a closely related field, or at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
· Minimum one year of full-time experience in heavy vehicle driving, freight transport, logistics, warehousing distribution, or a similar road transport environment.
· Valid heavy vehicle licence appropriate to the duties of the role, with a clean driving record.
· Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy vehicles and trailer combinations relevant to freight transport operations.
· Strong knowledge of load restraint, freight protection, vehicle safety and road transport compliance.
· Ability to use GPS, route planning tools and communication systems effectively.
· Sound understanding of WHS requirements, fatigue management and safe driving practices.
Key responsibilities
· Safely operate heavy vehicles to transport freight across metro, regional and interstate routes.
· Load, secure and unload goods in compliance with load restraint and safety requirements
· Conduct pre-start, in-transit and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects promptly
· Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation, logbooks and consignment records
· Follow all road transport laws, fatigue management and WHS requirements
· Liaise with dispatch, customers and site personnel regarding schedules and delivery requirements
· Monitor vehicle condition and arrange or report maintenance as required
· Verify freight weight, placement and condition to ensure safe transport
· Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned vehicles
· Report incidents, delays or discrepancies and ensure timely delivery outcomes
