Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per annum

Sunlong Fresh Foods Pty Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Transport Manager to oversee the company’s transport and fleet management operations and ensure efficient and safe delivery of goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Organise the purchase or lease of vehicles, parts and fuel.
2. Arrange regular inspection, servicing and maintenance of vehicles and associated equipment.
3. Maintain records of vehicle servicing schedules and report repair or maintenance requirements.
4. Keep organised records relating to fleet operations, including service schedules and authorisation of payments for completed maintenance or repair work.
5. Ensure vehicles and equipment comply with road-worthy and safety standards through regular audits.
6. Monitor and analyse transport and logistics costs and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency.
7. Coordinate staff training relating to licensing requirements, safe driving practices and operation of lifting or transport equipment.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transport safety regulations and ensure staff compliance with applicable standards.
9. Address and resolve transportation issues to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
10. Supervise and coordinate loading and unloading activities associated with consignments.

Essential Qualification and Experience

1. AQF Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field or equivalent relevant work experience.
2. Minimum three (3) years’ relevant experience in transport or logistics management.
