About the Role

We’re seeking skilled and safety-conscious operators to join our team at Bunge’s Port Adelaide terminal. We have a permanent full-time position available. In this position, you’ll be responsible for the efficient and safe operation equipment vital to our grain storage and logistics process.

This role is ideal for an individual who takes pride in precision, enjoys practical outdoor work, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You’ll get involved in everything from operating machinery to maintaining high grain quality and contributing to export operations. You’ll work closely with site staff and play a key role in grain movement, storage, and export readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a range of machinery and other essential equipment to load and unload trucks.
  • Monitor and maintain grain quality standards through classification and quality control procedures.
  • Assist with bulk grain out turning, including shipping loading, container packing, coordinating road transport and rail.
  • Keep grain storage areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to seasonal staff during busy periods, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee the condition of silos, bunkers, and other storage assets to ensure ongoing operational efficiency.
  • Carry out routine equipment upkeep, pest management, and hygiene tasks to support smooth terminal operations.

About You

  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, accreditation as an Authorised Officer and Control Room Operator.
  • You thrive working collaboratively and enjoy tackling new challenges together.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, able to clearly and effectively communicate with your team and stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate leadership qualities and have experience motivating and supporting others to achieve team goals.
  • Familiarity with commodity classification is a bonus but not required.
  • A current driver’s licence is essential for this role.
  • You are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, consistently following safety procedures, and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Available for rotating shifts, including weekends.
