Position Details
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Teacher
We are seeking an Early Childhood qualified teacher for a classroom teacher position. This is a part-time fixed term position, 4 days per week, one day Pre-Kindergarten and three days Kindergarten. The successful applicant will be passionate about education, will live out their faith in their daily lives, be positive and bring their own energy and passion to the role.
Our Lady of the Cape is a double stream primary school in Dunsborough. The school caters for approximately 400 students from Pre-Kindergarten through to Year Six. Our school has a strong academic focus and places equal importance on developing the spiritual, physical, social and emotional growth of each child. Through sound teaching pedagogy and a focus on staff and student well-being, our dedicated staff assist students to be active participants in their own learning and strive to support each learner to reach their full potential. The school enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the enthusiastic support of the parent community.
Selection Criteria

• A sound understanding of a blended approach to teaching and learning, incorporating intentional teaching with a play-based, child-led inquiry, hands-on experiences and a nature-inspired approach, based on the
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments, acknowledging each child as a capable, curious learner
• The ability to differentiate the teaching and learning program to cater for a variety of student needs, having knowledge of trauma informed teaching and learning, and neuro affirming practices
• Authentically nurture positive and respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families
• Strong communication and technical skills, and a joyful approach to the role
• The ability to design rich learning experiences that foster curiosity, imagination, resilience and a love of learning
Qualifications Required
• Relevant 4 year Early Childhood tertiary qualification
• Accreditation to Teach RE, or progress towards
