An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Geriatrician to join a leading tertiary teaching hospital in Tasmania’s capital city. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality, multidisciplinary care to older adults across acute, subacute and outpatient settings within a well-established Geriatric Medicine service.
The Role
- Provide comprehensive geriatric assessment and management
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to orthogeriatrics, frailty and rehabilitation services
- Participate in teaching, supervision and quality improvement
- Share in an on-call roster as required
Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine (or equivalent)
- Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in acute geriatric care
- Strong leadership and communication skills
