About the Opportunity
Assure Consulting AU is recruiting a skilled Software Engineer on behalf of our client, a dynamic and growing technology organisation based in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to meaningful software projects within a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop clean, efficient, and maintainable software solutions based on user and business requirements.
- Write and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability prior to deployment.
- Design and implement APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations for seamless system communication.
- Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Diagnose and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system errors in a timely manner.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance existing applications with patches, updates, and improvements aligned to business needs.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, design documents, and release notes.
- Adhere to development standards, security best practices, and stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in software engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Solid experience with API design, RESTful services, and system integration.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
