Position Overview
Visafast Migration Consultancy is seeking a skilled and motivated Social Media Specialist to join our Adelaide team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and driving the organisation's digital content and social media presence across multiple international markets. This role is central to our marketing function and requires a dedicated content creation professional capable of producing high-volume, high-quality digital content for diverse audiences across Australia and India.
The position involves at least 20–25 hours per week dedicated specifically to content creation and production activities, with the remaining hours allocated to marketing strategy, performance analysis, and campaign coordination.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Duties – Content Creation & Production:
- Create, schedule and publish marketing content to social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), websites, blogs, email newsletters and online advertising channels to promote migration and education services.
- Develop written, visual and multimedia marketing content including social media posts, promotional copy, blog articles, campaign messaging, infographics, and video content tailored to diverse international audiences.
- Write and edit blog posts and articles on migration, visa pathways, education opportunities, and related topics, optimising content for SEO and user engagement (typically 3–5 blog posts per week, 800–1,500 words each).
- Manage and maintain the organisation's social media platforms by planning content schedules, creating daily posts, publishing updates, responding to comments, and engaging with online audiences.
- Design and produce digital graphics, infographics, and visual content for social media posts, blog headers, email campaigns, and online advertising using design tools and templates.
- Coordinate production of marketing materials including digital artwork, promotional brochures, advertising copy, email templates and other creative assets.
- Develop and manage content calendars for social media, blog publications and email marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent content flow across all digital channels.
- Create and schedule email marketing campaigns and newsletters, including writing compelling subject lines, body copy, and calls-to-action.
- Implement SEO-focused copywriting, keyword integration, meta descriptions, and structured digital content optimisation to improve search engine metrics.
- Ensure consistency of branding, tone and messaging across all digital content and marketing communications.
Supporting Duties – Marketing Strategy & Performance Analysis:
- Monitor performance of content initiatives across social media, websites and digital marketing platforms, providing reporting and insights on engagement metrics, reach and audience growth.
- Analyse data from digital marketing campaigns to evaluate content performance, identify trends, and recommend optimisation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (migration consultants, education counsellors, management) to develop content supporting business promotion, client engagement and brand awareness.
- Assist in the implementation of digital marketing campaigns by preparing campaign content and supporting media assets.
- Participate in marketing planning meetings and contribute content ideas aligned with business objectives and target audience needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in social media management, digital content creation or marketing communications.
- Proven ability to produce high-volume written, visual and multimedia content across multiple digital channels.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop compelling content for varied target audiences.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and scheduling platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite).
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe suite) to produce digital graphics and visual content.
- Sound knowledge of SEO principles, content optimisation, and keyword strategy.
- Experience developing and managing content calendars and email marketing campaigns.
- Ability to analyse digital performance data and translate insights into actionable content improvements.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience in migration, education, or professional services industries (advantageous but not essential).
- A relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline is desirable.
