Are you ready to lead civil infrastructure projects and shape the future of transport in the Big Rivers region?

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure is seeking an experienced professional to join the Transport Civil Infrastructure team in Katherine. These roles offer the opportunity to manage high-impact projects and provide expert guidance in the delivery of roads and civil assets.

About the Role

Manage the development and delivery of assigned Capital Works and Minor New Works projects to construct roads and other civil assets in the Katherine region.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
  2. Provide highlevel technical and project management advice to clients and stakeholders
  3. Contribute to regional programs for road and civil asset construction
  4. Ensure projects meet agreed time, cost and quality outcomes
  5. Build strong client relationships and manage clear project communications
  6. Secure required approvals, clearances and documentation before works commence
  7. Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and legislative requirements

About You

You will bring qualifications or experience in Civil Engineering, Civil Construction Management, Project Management or a related field, along with:

  1. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  2. Knowledge of civil design, construction and maintenance practices
  3. Experience with traffic management, roads, land servicing and hydraulics
  4. Welldeveloped IT skills, including project management tools
  5. Knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
  6. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
