Your new role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of business clients while supporting and mentoring junior team members. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns, providing advisory services, liaising directly with clients, and contributing to process improvements within the firm. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to be a trusted advisor to clients rather than just a compliance-focused accountant.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- CA or CPA qualification (or near completion)
- Proven experience in public practice accounting within Australia
- Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance, financial reporting, and business advisory
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal directly with clients
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities independently
