Retail Manager

Trupti Pty Ltd trading as Kings Cross Rail Newsagency is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to join our business on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for organising and controlling the operations of the retail establishment and ensuring high standards of customer service, stock control, staff supervision and day-to-day business performance.

The successful candidate will be required to work across three different store locations operated by the same employer. The employer will remain the same for all locations, and the duties and responsibilities of the role will remain consistent across all stores.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

1. determining product mix, stock levels and service standards
2. formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices
3. promoting and advertising the establishment’s goods and services
4. selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
5. maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
6. undertaking budgeting for the establishment
7. controlling the selection, training and supervision of staff
8. ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
9. organising and controlling the overall operations of the retail establishment

To be considered for the role, applicants should have:

1. at least 2 years of relevant retail management experience
2. strong communication and customer service skills
3. ability to manage stock, staff and day-to-day store operations
4. sound organisational and record-keeping skills
5. ability to work across multiple store locations operated by the same employer
