1.Responsible to provide in residential settings essential daily support, personal care, and emotional assistance to individuals with diverse needs including physical disabilities, dementia, mental health challenges, and aged care requirements.

2.Support clients with daily living activitiessuch as personal hygiene, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting, meal preparation and feeding, and fostering independence while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

3.Responsible for the medication management and mobility assistance involving monitoring and supervising medication as per care plans.

4.Administer and monitor care plansunder supervision, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with NDIS and workplace protocols.

5.Encourage residents to participate in community and recreational programs, promoting inclusion and social engagement.

6.Apply positive behaviour supportand de-escalation techniques to maintain calm and safety in challenging situations.

7.Observe, record, and communicate changes in clients’ wellbeing to healthcare professionals and care coordinators.

8.Uphold infection control, manual handling, and WHS safety proceduresto ensure a secure care environment.

9.Maintain confidentiality and respect, fostering trust with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

10.Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring dignity and equality of care.

Essential Requirements:

1. Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability)

2. First Aid and CPR certification

3. Minimum one year of work experience in the aged care

4. Active listening, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with residents, and families.

5. Ability to assist with daily tasks, personal care, medication management, and promoting independence.

6. Ability to remain calm under pressure, handle challenging behaviours, and maintain composure in crises.
