About Our Client
A multi-billion dollar listed business, our client has a presence across Australia, North & South America, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pac. The team is now looking to strengthen its Shared Service accounting function with this new hire.
Job Description
Reporting into the CFO, the key scope of this role will be to lead and drive performance of the Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing and Corporate Accounting team.
Key duties will also include:
- Service Delivery - owning the performance and effectiveness of the outsourced finance service delivery.
- Accountable for the performance, delivery, and output of the Corporate Accounting Team, including statutory reporting, leases, working capital, technical accounting, and compliance activities.
- Accountable for the coordination and delivery of internal and external audit activities across all entities, including management of auditor relationships, timelines, and deliverables.
- Own statutory compliance and reporting obligations across all entities, delivered through the Corporate Accounting Team.
- Lead monthly balance sheet review forums to assess integrity, compliance, and control adherence across all entities.
- Governance and compliance - accountable for the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of Core Mandatory Controls across all entities.
- Manage the internal audit activities from draft report stage to finalisation.
- Track and close internal and external audit findings, ensuring remediation actions are implemented.
- People Leadership - leading a team of 5 staff across Accounts Receivable Manager, Shared Services Manager & Corporate Accountants.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will possess the following traits:
- CA/CPA Qualified.
- Prior experience leading a team across Qualified and Transactional Finance or Shared Services.
- Hands on leader with ability to take ownership of a function/team.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and efficiencies.
- Experience working on automation projects.
- Project management expertise.
- Strong technical/compliance/governance experience.
- Multi-national exposure (desired).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
