About the role
The Eastern Health Mental Health and State-wide Services offer comprehensive, coordinated Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Services across all age groups in the Eastern region of Melbourne, covering an estimated population of 820,000 people. These services are publicly funded, and include Adult, Aged, Child & Adolescent, and state-wide specialist services in personality disorder (Spectrum) and drug and alcohol (including Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre).
Eastern Health is the largest public health provider in the eastern suburbs, providing a comprehensive range of high quality acute, sub-acute, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care and community health services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.
Eastern Health operates from many different locations; our largest sites include Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Healesville and District Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre, Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre, Wantirna Health, Yarra Ranges Health, Yarra Valley Community Health.
Our comprehensive training program addresses all the requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists whilst providing relevant and extensive experience in a wide variety of settings.
Eastern Health runs a highly regarded academic program and exam preparation programs covering all aspects of the training requirements. There are also opportunities for you to participate in research in a wide variety of subjects.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
