About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Aluminium Dynamics' manufacturing team as a Production Manager (Manufacturing) based in Largs North, South Australia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal productivity, efficiency and quality standards are maintained.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the overall manufacturing process, including production planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation
- Monitoring and analysing production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations
- Leading and motivating a team of skilled production personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and logistics, to align production activities with the company's overall objectives
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and technological advancements to enhance manufacturing capabilities
- Reporting on production metrics and key performance indicators to senior management
What we're looking for
- Experience (2+ years) in a production management role within the manufacturing industry
- Understanding of CAD software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of different Aluminium grades is essential.
- Thorough understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and quality control
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proficient in using production management software and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing sector
- Degree/Certificate in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred
