We are currently seeking a Production Leading Hand for our client, a well-established food manufacturing business located in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting the Production Manager and overseeing day-to-day production operations to ensure product is manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Lead and supervise production staff on shift
2. Ensure production targets are met in line with the production plan
3. Monitor process controls and complete production and quality records
4. Maintain compliance with WHS, Quality, and HACCP systems
5. Identify and report product, process, or quality issues
6. Support stock control, storage, and distribution activities
7. Ensure equipment and work areas are kept clean and operational
8. Assist with training and development of production staff

To be successful, you will have:

1. Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role within food or beverage manufacturing
2. Strong understanding of production processes and quality systems
3. Confident leading teams and making decisions on the production floor
4. Mechanically minded with basic maintenance knowledge (desirable)
5. Full Australian working rights
