This casual carer role suits reliable, empathetic people who enjoy flexible shifts and meaningful, person-centered work. You will provide practical support, companionship, and assistance that helps clients remain independent, safe, and engaged in their local community.

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as mobility support, bathing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity and privacy.
• Support daily living activities including meal preparation, light household tasks, medication prompts, and shopping assistance.
• Provide social and emotional support through companionship, conversation, and community outings to reduce isolation and enhance wellbeing.
• Follow care plans, report changes in client condition, and liaise with coordinators to ensure continuity of care.
• Travel locally to client homes and community locations, maintaining punctuality and professional presentation.

• Compassionate and respectful attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and flexible availability to accept shifts on an on-demand basis, including short-notice assignments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
• Basic understanding of infection control, manual handling, and privacy principles.
• Comfortable supporting clients with a variety of needs, including those living with dementia or mobility limitations.

• Full Australian Drivers Licence — current and valid for local travel to client homes and community activities.
• Working with Children Check — valid and clear, as some community visits may involve intergenerational settings.
• Police Check — current and satisfactory to ensure client safety and trust.
