Nurseryperson

Position Summary

We are seeking 8 reliable and experienced Nurserypersons to support daily nursery operations, including plant propagation, cultivation, maintenance, and general nursery duties. The role requires hands-on horticultural skills and the ability to work in an outdoor and greenhouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Propagate plants through seeding, cutting, grafting, and other propagation methods
2. Plant, water, fertilise, prune, and maintain nursery stock
3. Monitor plant health and identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
4. Apply fertilisers and pest control treatments in accordance with safety guidelines
5. Prepare plants for sale, distribution, or transplanting
6. Operate basic nursery equipment and tools
7. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of nursery and work areas
8. Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures at all times

Skills & Experience

1. Previous experience working in a plant nursery or horticultural environment
2. Knowledge of plant propagation, growing techniques, and plant care
3. Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks
4. Good attention to detail and time management skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications (Preferred but not essential)

Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent experience
