Responsibilities of the role include:
- Set up, configure, test, support, and manage both new and updated networks, databases, servers, and workstations.
- Lead the planning, development, deployment, testing, and performance tuning of network and system services, ensuring proper configuration management and the operational readiness of the entire network infrastructure.
- Develop and update documentation and standard operating procedures for network inventory, including detailed records of fault diagnosis, issue resolution, system enhancements, network modifications, and maintenance guidelines.
- Design and implement secure remote access solutions using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), leveraging SSL/TLS and IPsec protocols to protect data integrity and ensure secure transmission.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with network hardware such as routers, switches, and multi-vendor network appliances, while performing ongoing maintenance to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with team members in the design and configuration of wired and wireless networks, spanning both local (LAN) and wide area (WAN) environments.
Requirements:
- 5 + years of experience as a Network and Systems Engineer, or a similar role
- Solid experience in network and system management, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in administering and troubleshooting cloud-based enterprise technologies, including Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Hybrid solutions
- Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, TLS are compulsory
- Familiar with Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Azure
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills to explain
