Network Administrator

Taste Growers Market is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to manage and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure reliable network performance across retail systems, point-of-sale infrastructure and internal business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless networks and related network infrastructure, including routers, switches and servers.
2. Monitor network performance and availability, identifying and resolving network connectivity, performance and system faults.
3. Administer and maintain network operating systems, servers and associated hardware infrastructure.
4. Configure, manage and maintain network security systems, including firewalls, access control systems and security protocols to protect organisational data.
5. Implement and manage system backups, redundancy solutions and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and network reliability.
6. Perform network upgrades, patch management and infrastructure improvements to maintain system efficiency and security.
7. Configure and maintain network access and connectivity for business systems and applications, including retail POS systems and internal operational platforms.
8. Analyse network usage, capacity and performance, and recommend network optimisation and infrastructure enhancements.
9. Maintain accurate technical documentation relating to network architecture, configurations, procedures and system changes.
10. Liaise with vendors and service providers regarding network hardware, software, maintenance and support services.

Skills and Experience

1. Bachelor degree or higher qualification or at least five years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualification.
2. 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
3. Experience preferred in managing LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches and firewalls.
4. Knowledge of Windows Server, cloud services and network security practices.
5. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
6. Excellent communication and ability to provide user support.
