MOTOR MECHANIC

PPR Avenues is an exciting small team business operating in Truganina. Right now we are seeking skilled Motor Mechanics to perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on a wide range of vehicles.

Job Duties:

1. Diagnosing and identifying mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
2. Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper operation.
3. Performing routine maintenance, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to enhance vehicle performance and ensure compliance with emission standards.
4. Inspect vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or outline necessary repairs for compliance.
5. Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts, then inspect each component.
6. Repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts, reassembling mechanical components, and consulting service manuals as necessary.
7. Reassembling engines and components after repairs.
8. Using computers to assist in diagnosing and testing components.
9. Quick respond to vehicle breakdown calls for on-site service

Skill required & well versed with:

1. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized testing devices.
2. Knowledge of working with fluid-powered brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
3. Understanding how engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other vehicle components work.
4. Ability to accurately identify mechanical or electrical issues
5. Should know safety regulations and practices.
6. Current VIC Drivers License
7. Certificate III in Automotive or Higher
8. 2 years or more experience required in an automotive workshop as a mechanic/technician.

The benefits

On offer to you:

1. Salary ranging $75,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
2. ability to work full time or on a structured week
