The Opportunity:

Currently, we are seeking a dynamic mechanical engineering technicians to complement our growing team. Numerous roles will be based out of Sydney Melbourne and Brisbane. We have secured several large projects across Australia & are looking for individuals who are seeking a new challenge.

In this role you will work across several areas of our operations to aid & develop your skills in our unique industry.

Your responsibilities in this role include:

  1. Inhouse & Onsite work which included testing, inspection and certification of customers lifting gear, engineered and Height safety assets.
  2. Assessment of lifting gear for repair and maintenance.
  3. Installation & maintenance of ropes, sheaves & rope attachments for critical services.
  4. Design, manufacture and maintain bespoke lifting & measuring devices.
  5. Height safety inspections (including harnesses, lanyards, etc.) & installations.
  6. Lifting gear test, tag & repair
  7. Proof loading testing & reporting.

Base Salary for these roles will be between $76,000 - $80,000.00 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. Opportunities for over-time are also available. Please note that is full-time position only at this time.

What you will bring to Ranger

  1. Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, Minimum 3 years of work experience
  2. An understanding of Australian or ISO lifting Standards
  3. High Risk Licence (Dogging/Basic rigging or higher).
  4. Natural mechanical aptitude.
  5. EWP ticket (can be provided).
  6. Working at heights ticket (can be provided).
  7. General Safety Induction in the Construction Industry
  8. Commitment to safety
