We’re looking for a highly experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join us in a Full-Time role to assist with the operations at our Dairy Facility. You will be able to operate, maintain, install and assemble a range of milk processing and other related equipment. As a member of a full-time rotating shift crew (12 hour shifts; Monday to Thursday; day shift &night shift), you will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and can do attitude.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate, monitor and maintain the pasteuriser and mechanical manufacturing equipment to achieve quality, food safety and product specifications
- closely monitor dairy production process and mechanical equipment performance in accordance to SOPs
- accurately prepare and maintain all area operational records, technical documentation and paperwork for processing and mechanical systems
- monitor processing parameters fats, total solids allergen extraneous water and other related items as they associate with processing dairy products to ensure correct mechanical equipment processing
- troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties associated with the processing equipment
- verify all equipment charts including frequency pen, cut in/cut out temperatures and product recording temperature
- analyse process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput and equipment reliability and assist in troubleshooting equipment issues
- identify and communicate mechanical faults and operational issues affecting equipment performance and production processes as they arise
- operate, inspect and clean/sanitise equipment with a sense of urgency to ensure efficient mechanical systems, maximise throughput and minimise downtime
- maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any equipment problems and or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
Required skills:
Advance Diploma or equivalent in relevant field
At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar industry
Salary Range:
$76,500 to $85,000 excluding superannuation
