Job Description
VOSS AU PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced automated warehouse systems. This role requires specialised experience working with Witron automated storage and retrieval systems and related patented technologies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of complex mechanical and automated systems.
Key Duties
- Install, assemble, and commission automated storage and retrieval systems , with a primary focus on Witron technology systems
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and fault-finding on Witron automated systems, including conveyors, stacker cranes, and robotic picking equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation specific to Witron system configurations
- Calibrate, adjust, and optimise mechanical and automated components within Witron installations
- Conduct preventative maintenance and system performance checks on Witron equipment
- Identify mechanical faults and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime in Witron-operated environments
- Support system upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives involving Witron technology
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, engineering specifications, and operational procedures
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and technical documentation
- Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and team members to ensure efficient project delivery
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with Witron automated systems (essential)
- Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated material handling systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Good communication skills
