We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support engineering operations and project delivery across Queensland. The role involves assisting engineers with the design, testing, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and modification of mechanical systems and components
- Conduct testing, fault finding, and diagnostics on mechanical equipment
- Prepare and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and quality requirements
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and reports
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met
- Assist in improving efficiency and reliability of mechanical systems
Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plans
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and materials
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements
