A & P Commercial Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned and operated company based in Sydney. We specialise in the maintenance, supply, and installation of pneumatic tube systems across major clients, including Woolworths and hospitals.
With recent success in securing new hospital contracts, we are expanding our team to support the design, installation, and commissioning of pneumatic tube systems.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience working with Sumetzberger Pneumatic Tube Systems. This role is critical in planning, managing, and overseeing the assembly, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems across multiple sites.
You will also play a key role in training and mentoring technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, preparing, and implementing technical project documentation, including:
- OHS&R documentation
- Quality assurance (QA) documents
- Completion certifications
- Operation manuals
- Shop drawings/ hospital Drawings
- Project schedules
- Coordinating site equipment for assigned projects
- Monitoring project expenditure and implementing corrective actions where required
- Providing technical support and guidance to installation teams, clients, and building supervisors
- Overseeing installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities
- Leading, mentoring, and training both existing and new pneumatic tube system technicians
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of full-time, hands-on experience with Sumetzberger Pneumatic Tube Systems
- Valid driver’s licence
Position Details
- Full-time role (minimum 38 hours per week)
- Typical working hours: 6:30am – 5:00pm
- Based in New South Wales, with travel required to all over Australia
- Reporting to the National Technical Manager
- Salary range: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum
