A Mechanical Building Services design engineer is required for a leading Hobart-based consultancy.

Your new role
As a Mechanical Building Services Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of mechanical services design across a range of building projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:

  • Mechanical services design including HVAC, ventilation and associated systems
  • Producing high quality engineering documentation and calculations
  • Coordinating designs with hydraulic, electrical and structural disciplines
  • Engaging directly with clients, architects and contractors
  • Supporting project delivery from concept through to construction and commissioning
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

This role suits an engineer who enjoys both the technical and client-facing aspects of consulting engineering.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in mechanical building services design within a consultancy environment
  • Working knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
  • Experience using industry standard design and modelling tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit MEP)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Eligibility (or pathway) for Engineers Australia membership

Engineers at intermediate through to senior level are encouraged to apply.
