The Role

Reporting to our Learning & Organisational Development Manager – Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), you’ll be at the heart of designing and delivering transformative learning experiences that empower our people to grow, lead and thrive. You’ll be supporting the growth and success of our Robert Bird Group, SMEC, SAA Architects and Atelier Ten businesses across ANZ, all part of the SJ Group.

This is a high impact role, where creativity meets strategy – supporting regional development while influencing global learning design. You’ll lead the charge on instructional design, e-learning, facilitation, and program management, while owning key initiatives like graduate development, induction training, and LMS optimisation.

What you’ll be driving

🎯 Instructional Design & E-Learning

1. Create engaging, learner-focused content for both face-to-face and digital delivery.
2. Translate complex technical knowledge into accessible, impactful learning experiences.
3. Contribute to global instructional design projects, bringing fresh ideas and regional insights.

💻 LMS Management

1. Own the Learning Management System (LMS) for ANZ—ensuring smooth operations, accurate reporting, and a seamless user experience.
2. Set up courses, manage users, and maintain system integrity.
3. Provide training and support to stakeholders and collaborate globally to align LMS standards.

🎓 Graduate & Leadership Development Programs

1. Lead the design and delivery of the ANZ Graduate Development Program.
2. Support and coordinate Global Leadership Development Programs delivered in ANZ.
3. Partner with leaders and the People & Culture team to align with workforce strategy.
4. Track progress and celebrate success.

🎤 Program Facilitation

1. Deliver high-energy workshops and development sessions that inspire and engage.
2. Champion a culture of continuous learning and growth across the region.
3. Tailor facilitation to suit technical and non-technical audiences.

🚀 Induction & Compliance Training

1. Manage induction and compliance training to ensure every employee starts strong and stays informed.
2. Keep content fresh, relevant, and aligned with business and regulatory needs.
3. Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance across the region.

📊 Reporting & Analytics

1. Measure impact—track engagement, effectiveness, and outcomes across all learning initiatives.
2. Use data to drive decisions and continuously improve learning experiences.
3. Maintain accurate records to support compliance and reporting needs.

About You

1. Tertiary qualifications in HR, Learning & Organisational Development, Psychology, or a related field (Certificate IV in Training & Assessment a bonus).
2. Additional certifications in learning design or facilitation are highly valued.
3. Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning, ideally in a technical or consulting environment.
4. Confident facilitation skills and a passion for engaging learners.
5. Experience with development programs, induction, and compliance training.
6. Hands-on LMS management experience (e.g., Docebo, Workday Learning).
7. Proficiency in learning technologies (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, LMS platforms).
8. Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
9. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
