Position Available:
Z&M FOODS PTY LTD (Mary’s Bao and Dumplings) is seeking a dedicated FULL-TIME Kitchen Team Member to join our team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support daily food preparation, maintain a clean and organised kitchen, and contribute to efficient service operations. Candidates with prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment will be highly regarded. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills while joining a team committed to delivering high-quality, authentic Chinese cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Support food preparation by chopping, peeling, and slicing ingredients.
- Help with basic cooking, baking, plating, and food presentation duties.
- Assist in restocking and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Aid in setting up and breaking down kitchen workstations.
- Follow directions from other kitchen team members.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Help package and plate meals for delivery or service in hospitals, aged care facilities, or off-site events.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year of full-time (38 hours per week) relevant hospitality experience, completed within the past five (5) years
- AQF Certificate I qualification or completion of compulsory secondary education
- Basic food preparation and kitchen assistance skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety standards in the kitchen
- Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply
