We are looking for a Home Appliance Repair Technician to join the team! The position will focus on timely delivery and good customer service as it pertains to the repairs, servicing and installation of globally recognised whitegoods for our clientele. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Alexandria, NSW.

Main tasks:

-Installation of whitegoods at client sites

-Diagnose faults by inspecting various appliances and whitegoods

-Repair and replace defective parts of whitegoods

-Liaise with clients to identify common and specific product malfunctions, advising of basic troubleshooting methods as required

-Training of new staff to maximise output, including developing protocols and standards for field technician staff, brand specific training, and auditing

-Manage inventory, replenishing stock in vehicles to minimise re-visits and use of specialised equipment for installation and reparations as needed, developing ways to reduce costs through bulk-buying spares, using different parts, etc.

-Providing excellent customer service and timely liaison with office team

-Supervision of other technicians in order to improve efficiency

-Working with Management on targets for managing technicians and KPIs of finished and second-visit jobs, change and process management, stock management, advising admin on quoting, customer success management, and other tasks as reasonably required.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

-Certificate III in relevant qualification plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years.

-3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

-Driver’s license to attend to call-out enquiries

-Own tools (certain equipment will be provided as per specific tasks)

-Basic computer skills

-Flexibility in work schedule

-Team spirit

-Ability to follow OH&S guidelines (safety is priority)

-Suitable qualifications pertaining to safe handling of electronic equipment

Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
