Heavy Vehicles Diesel Mechanic
The Role
TRS Resourcing is looking for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop in Bayswater, working on a fleet of heavy vehicles used in waste and recycling operations.
This is a hands-on workshop role with a stable, long-term employer. You'll be carrying out servicing, repairs, fault finding, and breakdown work on heavy trucks in a well-equipped workshop.
The role operates on a rotating roster, with start times varying according to workload. With a requirement to work every second Saturday, with a weekday off in return.
Daily Responsibilities
- Servicing and repairing heavy diesel trucks
- Preventative maintenance to keep the fleet roadworthy
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
- Attending breakdowns when required (company vehicle provided)
- Completing job cards and service records
- Working safely in a clean, organised workshop
What We're Looking For
- Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III or IV - Heavy Vehicle)
- Experience working on heavy trucks or similar plant
- Confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Current driver's licence
- HR and/or forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- Reliable, hands-on attitude and able to work as part of a team
