We are UnitingCare.

A courageous and creative health and community services provider across Queensland and the Northern Territory, supporting people and families to live life in all its fullness.

UnitingCare QLD is one of the largest charities in Australia and the second largest employer in Queensland. Through our accessible services we’re committed to empowering older people, those living with a disability, people requiring health care in hospital or at home, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, children and families.

With the commencement of CEO Ben Edwards in January 2026, the UnitingCare QLD Executive Team and Board are committed to significantly elevating their philanthropic income and activity as a core enabler of UnitingCare QLD’s mission. They are now seeking a Group Executive, Fundraising & Philanthropy, a senior leadership role reporting to the CEO who will lead the organisation into this new and exciting era of philanthropy.

An inspirational and entrepreneurial leader, the successful candidate will bring significant and proven experience in senior‑level strategic fundraising leadership within a complex, multi‑stakeholder or large not‑for‑profit environment. A track record of designing and implementing organisational fundraising strategies and managing multidisciplinary fundraising teams to a high level of performance will be fundamental. With the support of the Board and Senior Leadership team, you will work to embed a thriving culture of philanthropy across the organisation’s hospitals, aged care, community services and research.
