    Practice Information:
    This RACGP and ACRRM accredited training practice, located in the town of Ingham, North Queensland has been operating for 30 years. Currently, there are four (4) full time doctors, and they are looking to recruit a further doctor. The practice offers audiometry, spirometry, skin checks and ECGs. They do a variety of health checks and medicals. Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology are on site, as well as Rural Medical Imaging who provide CT, USS and X-ray. The practice has visiting allied health services such as a podiatrist, an audiologist, a dental prosthetist, a diabetes educator, psychologist, dietician, exercise physiologist and visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon. Registered and enrolled nurses provide continuous medical officer support. They are a registered Q-fever and yellow fever vaccination centre, as well as providing the usual private and NHS vaccinations. Visits to patients at nursing homes are undertaken, and a good relationship exists with all three facilities in our area. As a practice, they have regular social evenings and family outings. This is a genuine, caring practice, staffed by pleasant, motivated people.

    • Variety of Employment Medicals
    • Mental Health
    • Women’s Health Checks
    • Adult and Childhood Immunisations
    • Men’s Health Checks
    • Travel Medicine advice
    • The practice of preventative medicine is essential as our population is an aging population.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • General AHPRA registration or
    • Limited / Provisional AHPRA registration (Level 2 supervision minimum)

    About Ingham:
    Ingham is a rural centre towards the southern end of the Wet Tropics World Heritage area. Locals and visitors enjoy a diverse array of natural attractions and community activities. Camping, bush walking, bird watching and fishing are all popular past-times, with several national parks of worldwide acclaim nearby – Hinchinbrook Island (Australia’s biggest island National Park), the Great Barrier Reef (a World Heritage site), Wallaman Falls (Australia’s highest waterfall) and Tyto Wetlands are just a few of the many locations of interest. A ‘sugar town’ on the Bruce Highway, 115 kilometres north of Townsville, our population is approximately 5000. They are home to the longest jetty (5.75 kilometres) in the southern hemisphere and Queensland’s largest sugar mill. Ingham holds an annual Italian Festival and Maraka Festival, a rodeo and has many sporting and community groups. The town has two supermarkets, a number of specialty stores, two high schools (one private, one public), several primary schools (including one private), a library and a cinema.
