About Us: Portorosa is a bustling, friendly Italian restaurant located in the heart of Fremantle. We pride ourselves on our authentic home-style cooking, featuring wood-fired pizzas, handmade pasta, and fresh seafood platters. We are looking for passionate and experienced kitchen staff to join our dynamic team.

Positions Available:

1. CHEF (Full-time) We are seeking a skilled Chef to oversee sections of our kitchen operations.

Duties:

o Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs.

o Prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes (specialising in seafood and pasta).

Assist the Head chef with daily kitchen operations and inventory

o Supervise kitchen staff (cooks and kitchen hands) and manage rosters.

o Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

o Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.

Regulate temperatures of ovens, pasta boiler, grills and other cooking equipments.

Requirements:

o Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).

o Diploma of Hospitality Management is highly desirable.

o Minimum 1 years of full-time work experience as a Chef.

o Strong knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine and wood-fired cooking techniques.
