We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable individual who takes pride in preparing high-quality, innovative cuisine for a busy venue. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive culture that values quality ingredients and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

·Culinary excellence: Prepare, season, and cook innovative and modern hot and cold food selections to order, ensuring visually appealing presentation even under pressure.

·Kitchen operations: Manage workstations, regulate equipment temperatures (ovens, grills, etc.), and prepare mise en place to specification to support timely service.

·Quality control: Examine food for freshness, monitor portion control, and ensure all dishes meet established quality and menu standards.

·Food safety & hygiene: Uphold orderly and hygienic work practices, store food safely in temperature-controlled environments, and comply with all Workplace Health and Safety regulations.

·Team collaboration: Work closely with the bakery and kitchen teams, cooperate with senior chefs, and provide guidance to junior staff when required.

·Stock Management: Assist with stock rotation, monitor perishable goods to minimise wastage, and assist with menu planning or estimating food requirements.

About you

·Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar cooking role.

·Qualifications: Relevant Certificate III or IV qualifications in Cookery are highly desirable.

·Skills: Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and excellent time-management skills.

·Attributes: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently and independently during high-pressure, busy periods.

·Logistics: A valid driver’s licence and own transport are required.
