Full time Cook

Shanay Group Pty Ltd trading as Curry Cravings is seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety.

Location: Perth, WA 6000

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + Superannuation

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with menu requirements and established recipes
2. Ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all food items
3. Assisting in the planning and preparation of menus, including contributing to new dish development
4. Portioning food, preparing ingredients, and supporting efficient kitchen operations
5. Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation and cooking
6. Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with Australian regulations
7. Managing stock levels, including receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients
8. Ensuring kitchen equipment and work areas are clean, organised, and well-maintained
9. Working collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
10. Assisting in minimising food wastage and maintaining cost control measures

Skills and Requirements

1. Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field OR equivalent industry experience.
2. Relevant experience in a commercial kitchen, café, or restaurant environment.
3. Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
5. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
6. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
