Tasks & Responsibilities

• Plan menus and contribute to the development of new dishes

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation

• Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all menu items

• Manage kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and minimising wastage

• Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards in accordance with regulations

• Supervise and train kitchen staff as required

• Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualification such as Certificate III or IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or

equivalent)

• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef

• Experience in Australian cuisine will be highly regarded

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen
