Landmark Hospitality pty ltd is looking for a Full-time chef to join our team.
Salary Range – $75,000 - $85,000
Business Location – Golden Point VIC 3350
Responsibilities
- Develop and design the menu with a focus on fresh, local ingredients.
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Oversee kitchen operations including inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
- Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff
- Staying up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes.
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dieticians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage kitchen budgets to control costs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Handle special requests and accommodate dietary restrictions while maintaining taste and quality.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing to optimize ingredient quality and cost.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any food-related issues promptly and professionally.
Skills and Qualifications
- AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification.
- Prior Experience as a Chef.
- Strong Knowledge of Cooking Methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment
- Ability to work Full Time
- Flexible to work on a rotating roster.
