The Opportunity

Joining our hospitality team as a Cook or Chef, you'll enjoy working in our kitchen to prepare high-quality daily meals for residents. You'll be a great communicator, enjoy being hands-on, having a passion for food and building relationships with residents. No matter your experience as a Kitchenhand, Cook or Chef, come and join our team!

We are opening Expressions of Interests (EOI) for casual and part-time Cooks and Chefs to join our team across our Northside Aveo retirement communities. Apply today, let us know your availability and we will contact you when a position becomes available.

Your Impact

• Assist in the kitchen with the daily preparation and serving of meals as per menus and build cards (chopping, peeling, cooking and plating etc.) 
• Work in a small team to deliver a gold standard of restaurant-quality meals
• Ensure food safety compliance and kitchen cleanliness by following all procedures
• Build resident satisfaction by engaging with residents, building relationships and taking feedback 
• Complete general cleaning duties (e.g washing up)

What you'll bring

• Knowledge and/or experience as a Cook, Chef, Kitchenhand or similar 
• Food Safety Certificate (desirable, not essential)
• A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and chatting with residents!
• Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you!)
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
