Part-Time Veterinary Nurse – Surgery (minimum 1-year fixed term contract)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Surgical team, working 3 x 9.5-hour shifts per week. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on surgical nursing, thrives in a dynamic environment, and values working within a supportive, team-focused setting.

You will work closely with specialist surgeons, nurses, and nurse assistants to support a diverse surgical caseload. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, CT scans, and procedures; monitoring anaesthesia; and preparing and maintaining theatre and prep areas.

This role offers exposure to a wide range of procedures, including:

  • Fluoroscopy

  • Arthroscopy

  • Laparoscopy

  • Soft tissue surgery

  • Surgical oncology

  • Orthopaedic surgery

  • Emergency procedures

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in clinical practice

  • Previous experience in surgical nursing (preferred)

  • Anaesthesia experience highly regarded

  • Radiation Licence (desirable but not essential)
