Enrolled Nurse

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join our team and support our residents in living with dignity, independence, and respect.

About the Role

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide hands-on nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of older Australians, ensuring all care is delivered in line with best practice, AHPRA standards, and Blue Dawn’s values of compassion and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-quality clinical and personal care to aged care residents.
2. Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with care plans.
3. Provide wound care, infection control, and other nursing interventions as required.
4. Monitor resident health and promptly escalate concerns to the Registered Nurse.
5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and clinical observations.
6. Assist in assessments, reporting, and updates to care plans.
7. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
8. Support the training and supervision of personal care workers where required.
9. Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents and staff.
10. Ensure compliance with aged care standards, Blue Dawn policies, and OH&S procedures.

Requirements

1. Diploma of Nursing or equivalent and current AHPRA registration (mandatory)
2. At least 2 years of hands-on nursing experience in aged care facility (essential)
3. Demonstrated experience administering medication, wound care, and documenting according to aged care standards
4. NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid, Manual Handling, and Police Clearance
5. Proven ability to work flexible rosters including nights, weekends, and public holidays
6. Strong commitment to teamwork and ability to report to a supervising Registered Nurse
