Currently, we are looking for an Engineering Technologist with a health and safety focus, a strong sense of integrity and ability to drive performance excellence. Some of the key responsibilities as an Engineering Technologist within our organisation will include:
- Analyse existing manufacturing technologies & make recommendations for improvements to optimise product and process efficiencies;
- Design and modify new and existing manufacturing methods and apply, test and implement improvements across the production process;
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify engineering and process drawings and schematics;
- Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies, processes & equipment and implement design improvements;
- Provide technical assistance and resolution as required across the production process to ensure deliverables meet design specifications;
- Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure procedures are aligned with best practice engineering and safety regulations;
- Carry out material selection for various product types and manage inventory to meet production requirements;
- Examine and test production equipment & machinery and troubleshoot where required to optimise use and efficiency;
- Plan production schedules for manufacturing, improve efficiency and implement cost reducing measures;
- Ensure equipment meet production requirements and new products meet all aspects of technical and regulatory compliance;
- Oversee production technology service & technical improvements and schedule routine equipment maintenance;
- Train the production team on safety, health, fire prevention & environment compliance standards.
About the candidate: The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or relevant higher qualifications in the related fields with 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
