Role Overview
This is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing academic operations, training delivery, compliance, and staff performance. The Education Manager will ensure high standards in curriculum development, student outcomes, and regulatory compliance, while leading a team of educators and support staff. This role suits a strategic and hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the overall academic and training operations to ensure high-quality delivery of education programs aligned with organisational objectives and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and supervise academic staff, including trainers, assessors, and support personnel, ensuring effective workload allocation, performance management, and professional development.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve education systems, policies, and procedures to enhance training delivery, student outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks (including ASQA, AQF, and national standards), maintaining accurate documentation and readiness for audits.
- Oversee curriculum development, validation, and assessment practices to ensure training materials meet industry requirements and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, engagement, and satisfaction, implementing strategies to improve retention, completion rates, and overall learner experience.
- Manage academic records and learning management systems (LMS), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data management requirements.
- Prepare and present academic and operational reports relating to training delivery, compliance, student outcomes, and organisational performance for senior management review.
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure training relevance and alignment with workforce needs.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in education delivery, including online, blended, and face-to-face learning models, while supporting organisational growth and strategic objectives.
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required for this position
- Proven experience in education management, training leadership, or academic coordination.
- Strong knowledge of VET sector regulations and compliance (ASQA standards preferred).
- Experience managing trainers and educational teams.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualification in education, training, or management (TAE40116 or higher preferred).
