A well-regarded early learning centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join its supportive team.

SkillQuest Solutions are seeking a qualified and motivated Early Childhood Teacher on behalf of our client, a community-focused early childhood centre located in Bellfield, Victoria.

This welcoming centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children are supported to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. Incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) within a Montessori curriculum, the centre encourages children to explore, discover and build foundational skills that support lifelong learning.

Position – Early Childhood Teacher

Location – Bellfield, Victoria 3081

Salary - $82,000 - $86,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to supporting the development, wellbeing and learning of young children in an engaging and inclusive early childhood environment.

You will contribute to the planning and delivery of developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support children’s cognitive, emotional, social and physical growth, while fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Design and deliver engaging learning programs that support the developmental needs and interests of children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework.

· Plan and implement play-based indoor and outdoor educational activities that promote language development, creativity, early numeracy and social interaction.

· Observe and assess children’s learning and development, maintaining accurate records and documentation to support ongoing learning plans.

· Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, independence and positive relationships.

· Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to implement daily routines and learning experiences that promote children’s wellbeing and development.

· Communicate effectively with families to share information about children’s progress, learning experiences and developmental milestones.

· Support children to develop confidence, social skills and emotional regulation through guided play and structured learning opportunities.

· Ensure all activities and classroom environments align with relevant education frameworks, quality standards and centre policies.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in professional discussions and planning meetings with the education team.

· Ensure a safe and hygienic learning environment by following health, safety and child protection policies, and supervising children in accordance with centre procedures and regulatory

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· A relevant qualification, such as a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.

· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) experience working in an early childhood education setting, ideally within environments that incorporate STEM learning and Montessori-inspired approaches.

· Knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards.

· Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning strategies.

· Ability to plan engaging learning experiences that support play-based learning.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development.

· Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is essential, along with a valid Working with Children Check and relevant clearances.

· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.

WHAT IS ON OFFER:
