About The Role
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Disabled Carer to support NDIS participants in their day-to-day living and community participation. This role requires strong attention to detail, a responsible approach to duty of care, and effective communication with participants, families and the care team.
About Your Responsibilities
-Deliver direct personal care and daily living support in line with individualised support plans, including assistance with hygiene, mobility and routine development
-Support clients with complex or high support needs, while promoting independence, dignity and choice
-Assist clients with community access, appointments and social participation activities
-Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support to clients
-Monitor clients’ physical, emotional and behavioral wellbeing and report changes or risks appropriately
-Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports and service records in accordance with NDIS and organisational requirements
-Assist with medication administration under established care guidelines and supervision
-Comply with organisational policies, duty of care obligations and NDIS quality and safeguarding expectations
What we need from you
1. Relevant qualification (Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent), OR
at least 1 year of relevant work experience
2. High level of care, patience and attention to detail
3. Strong sense of responsibility and ability to follow support plans and procedures
4. Effective communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including managing time across multiple client supports
6. Driver Licence
