Are you passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in your community?

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers. To provide essential support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes/Residential Care facility. As a Disability Support Workers, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being, independence, and dignity of those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming) while ensuring comfort and privacy. Make sure to follow everything under defined care plans based on residents’ specific needs with a view to improve their quality of life.
  2. Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
  3. Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  4. Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to foster social interaction and mental well-being.
  5. Health Monitoring: Report any changes in health or behaviour to the office team.
  6. Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments or social events.
  7. Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns.

What You Bring:

  1. Certificate in individual support (Disability/Aged care)
  2. 1 year or more experience is desirable
  3. Being bilingual is also desirable but not necessary
  4. Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
  5. Empathy, patience, and respect for the individuality of those you care for
  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with care teams
  7. Understanding of aged care and disability issues
  8. The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required).
  9. A current National Police Records Check, dated within the last 3 months (or willingness to apply).
  10. A Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply).
  11. A NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply).
  12. A current SA driver's license and reliable Vehicle
  13. Minimum of 2 doses COVID 19 Vaccine

Employment – Full time 37.5 hours

Pay- $76515 +Super

Schedule- 8 Hours Shift
